Together at the Table

Saturday, September 12 | FoxView, Nashville, MI

Our inaugural Together at the Table event is a gathering to celebrate our neighbors and share stories that center the voices of people with disabilities. Unlike a traditional gala fundraiser, this event prioritizes The Ability Collective’s mission to increase access, belonging, and opportunity for individuals with disabilities in our community.

Empty Chair Campaign

We want to hear your story! What does it mean to you to live in a community where everyone belongs?

Share Your Story

At The Ability Collective, we believe in a community where everyone belongs. This year, leading up to our Together at the Table event, we are launching our Empty Chair Campaign to celebrate allyship, challenge biases, and highlight inclusion across Barry County.

We are pulling up a chair, but the table isn't complete without your voice. Whether you are a person with a disability sharing your experiences, a caregiver or family member to someone with a disability, or a local community partner standing as an ally, your story matters.

Our journey with Brycen began with an autism diagnosis, and later, in June 2021, we received his SYNGAP1 diagnosis...There have been so many hard moments, so much uncertainty, and a deep grief for the life we once envisioned. But woven into all of that is so much joy. Brycen has taught us to slow down, to celebrate every small victory, and to see beauty in places we might have once overlooked.
